Carrier Furnace Supply and Installation
BC Wide supplies and installs residential gas furnaces in Greater Vancouver as a single scope: equipment, venting and combustion air, condensate drainage, gas connection by a licensed gas fitter, permits and inspection, and commissioning. This is the only way this site sells furnaces; equipment-only pricing is not offered. This page covers Carrier furnaces specifically.

A furnace is not a retail product; it is a system of equipment, venting, condensate handling, gas supply, electrical connection and ducts, each governed by code. Supply-and-install puts all of those under one contract so the warranty, permits and commissioning are handled by the party responsible for the installation.
On this site, every furnace page therefore leads to a supply-and-install enquiry or a consultation, never to a price for the box alone. Manufacturer warranties typically condition on proper installation by licensed professionals, which is why BC Wide handles registration and commissioning as part of the job.
The scope is confirmed in writing before work starts: furnace, venting route and termination, condensate drain or pump, gas connection, electrical, permits and inspections. Anything the assessment recommends beyond that scope, such as ductwork or panel work, is quoted separately.
Carrier specifics
Carrier sells residential gas furnaces in Canada through its Canadian site and dealer network, in three tiers: Comfort, Performance and Infinity. Furnaces range from single-stage models to modulating units with variable-speed blowers, and all current sizes are design certified in Canada.
BC Wide lists Carrier among the brands it works on. Factory-authorized dealer status for Carrier has not been confirmed and is not claimed here.

What is included
- Furnace selected from the heat-loss calculation, supplied and installed
- Venting, combustion-air intake and condensate drainage per manufacturer instructions and code
- Gas connection by a licensed gas fitter
- Permits and inspection requirements for the municipality or Technical Safety BC, and commissioning with combustion analysis
What is not included
- Electrical panel upgrades or work outside the mechanical area, unless quoted

When not to DIY
- Never open the burner compartment or work on gas, combustion or venting components yourself
- Gas piping work requires a Technical Safety BC licensed gas contractor and the applicable permit
- If you smell gas, leave the building and call FortisBC at 1-800-663-9911 or 911 before anything else

Questions people ask
Can I buy the furnace only and have someone else install it?
Not through this site. Furnaces are supplied and installed by BC Wide so that sizing, venting, permits and commissioning are handled together. Equipment-only pricing is not offered unless BC Wide confirms it.
What is included in the supply-and-install price?
The proposal lists it: furnace, venting, condensate, gas connection, electrical within the mechanical area, permits and commissioning. Anything outside that list is a separate quoted line.
Who pulls the permit for a furnace installation?
The contractor. Gas work needs a permit from Technical Safety BC or from the municipality where the city issues its own gas permits (Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Kelowna); some municipalities add a heating permit.
