Carrier Infinity 98 59MN7C 100C21–22
The 59MN7C 100C21–22 is the 100,000 BTU/h, 21-inch-wide modulating Infinity 98: input from 40,000 BTU/h minimum to 100,000 BTU/h maximum, 98,000 BTU/h maximum output, certified 97.3% AFUE upflow and horizontal. It serves larger, older houses above the 080 sizes.

This size modulates between 40,000 BTU/h minimum input and 100,000 BTU/h maximum input, with Carrier certifying 97.3% AFUE upflow and horizontal and 95.0% downflow. Its certified temperature rise bands run from 35 to 65 °F at minimum fire to 45 to 75 °F at maximum fire, with the intermediate band at 50 to 80 °F.
The 21-inch cabinet carries five burners and a 1 HP communicating constant-airflow blower reaching 2,165 CFM for cooling, enough for a 5.5- to 6-ton coil. It is the only 100,000 BTU/h size in the modulating family, sharing its cabinet with the 080C21–20.
Houses that genuinely calculate to 100,000 BTU/h input are uncommon among newer Lower Mainland homes, and at this capacity the modulating burner's mild-weather low-fire behaviour is the main argument over a two-stage furnace. The size is chosen from the heat-loss calculation; Carrier's product data repeats the standing warning against oversizing.

Questions people ask
What is the minimum firing rate of this furnace?
Carrier publishes a 40,000 BTU/h minimum input (39,000 BTU/h output) against a 100,000 BTU/h maximum, so the burner can run at about 40% of full input on mild days.
The product data lists the intermediate output oddly. What should I trust?
Carrier's 59MN7C-01PD prints 54,000 BTU/h as the intermediate-heat output for this size, which contradicts the 65,000 BTU/h intermediate input and the pattern of every other size in the family (about 97% of input). Confirm the certified figure from the rating plate or Carrier before quoting.
