The 59TN6B 060C17–14 is the 60,000 BTU/h size of Carrier's communicating Infinity 96: 39,000 BTU/h on low fire, 58,000 BTU/h output on high, 96.3% AFUE upflow and horizontal, with a 1/2 HP constant-airflow ECM blower. It is the smallest Infinity 96 and the entry size of the communicating line.

The smallest Infinity 96 runs the same communicating two-stage system as the larger sizes: 39,000 BTU/h input and 38,000 BTU/h output on low fire, 60,000 BTU/h input and 58,000 BTU/h output on high. Carrier certifies it at 96.3% AFUE upflow and horizontal and 95.0% downflow, with a certified high-heat temperature rise of 35 to 65 °F.
The constant-airflow (VCA) blower is what separates this furnace from the Performance line: through the communicating control it measures and holds the airflow the system requests, so a loaded filter or closed damper is compensated rather than silently starving the heat exchanger. The furnace ships with a factory-supplied 16-inch media filter cabinet.
At 60,000 BTU/h input this size suits compact detached houses and larger suites whose heat-loss calculation supports it. Carrier's product data repeats the family sizing rule: none of the sizes may be used where the heating load is 20,000 BTU/h or lower, and excessive oversizing can shorten furnace and vent life.

Why is the Infinity 96's blower different from the Performance 96's?
The Infinity 96 uses a communicating constant-airflow (VCA) ECM motor that measures and holds the requested airflow; the Performance 96's constant-torque motor runs at selected speeds without airflow feedback. The Infinity motor is part of the communicating system design.
