Filter changes are the one DIY that is actually DIY
Changing the filter is owner maintenance on every furnace. Everything inside the burner or blower compartments is not. If the furnace has been weak or tripping limits, change the filter first — it is the cheapest fix in the house — then call if the problem remains. Book a maintenance visit for the annual deep check.
